What our residents say
My mum was nervous about moving from the family home to independent living but she changed her mind after trialling out the Short Term Stay in a Serviced Apartment at PVG. She moved straight in after 4 weeks and loves life there!”
My dad had passed on and mum was struggling at home on her own. She is still really switched on but needed some additional support. The Serviced Apartments at Pascoe Vale Gardens was the perfect choice offering beautiful, independent living for my mum. I’m jealous and want to move in too!”
I was a little nervous about making ‘the big move’ but the staff made everything really easy. During my initial appointment I had all my questions answered (and there was quite a list!) and was able to inspect the properties. I was confident all during the purchase process and am now a very happy member of the PVG community.”
The initial attraction to the village was the brightness and open plan of the serviced apartments area. It reminded me of home! I wanted to come to a serviced apartment while I was still independent, I wanted to be the one making the decision. I especially love all the team members, nothing is too much touble, always a smile, everyone is beautiful. What more could a girl want? Such a peaceful atmosphere, clean, good food, beautiful gardens and security”.
The move and transition was very smooth, the staff were extremely helpful, they made the whole experience easy. I have made many lifetime friends and I love being here because I feel safe as security is important to me. I love that it is very central also. I have wonderful neighbours who look after me. I also love that the staff at the Village are extremely helpful, and that experience has always made it home”.
I really like the security of the serviced apartment, and love being on the top floor. I love that I don’t have to cook my own meals. I love the library because I just love books! I really like the staff, I like that although there are people around me, I still have privacy. I also love knowing that there are emergency buttons in my room, it just gives me peace of mind to know that they are there”.
Aside from my passion for quilting, I love all the short trip outings, the movie theatre, the wonderful gardens in the grounds as well as my downsized garden. I especially love the in-house bus that takes me shopping every Friday because I don’t drive. The icing on the cake is the wonderful staff, I have never had any problems at all, they have always been helpful”.
We are busier now since moving. Cherrill is the librarian and Keith is the President of the Social Committee. What we love most about the Village itself is the Village itself, our unit, the people, the staff, the flowers and the atmosphere. Coming in when we did was a great decision. Some people leave a decision like this too long. Being younger, in your 60’s-70’s, helps you physically and mentally blend into the new environment and we simply have never looked back”.
We have a wonderful clubhouse with top class facilities, ideal for entertaining family and friends. All in all, I find it a great place to live”.
“To be honest I had an immediate rapport with the residents since day one on arriving at PVG. It has been a great move and when talking to residents and staff it has always felt like home.”
